Commercial representation

Commercial representation in India and Chile

A commercial presence in the market, without opening an office.

IndiAndes operates as your commercial team in the market: keeping communication going, working the prospect pipeline and following up with partners and distributors.

Who this service is for

For companies that have already decided to enter a market and need consistent activity on the ground before an office of their own is justified: Indian companies in Chile and selected Latin American markets, and Chilean companies that need continuous follow-up with suppliers or customers in India.

The problem it solves

After a good commercial trip, emails go unanswered, the distributor prioritises other brands, and nobody is there to push in the local language. Representation means someone is still working the pipeline every week.

What we manage

  1. Represent the client in agreed commercial conversations
  2. Contact and qualify potential buyers, distributors, or partners
  3. Coordinate meetings
  4. Support proposals and follow-up
  5. Maintain a local opportunity tracker
  6. Gather market feedback
  7. Provide regular reporting
  8. Coordinate visits and local activities

What we need from you

  • Commercial material, current prices and terms
  • A point of contact who responds quickly
  • Clear rules on discounts and commitments
  • Capacity to handle orders and technical questions
  • Measurable commercial objectives for the period

Usual timelines

Engaged for a minimum of three months. The first activity results are visible in the first month; concrete commercial opportunities usually appear between the second and the fourth month depending on the category.

How this is charged

A monthly retainer from US$1,500, with the option of agreeing variable fees tied to results defined in writing beforehand.

What this does not include

  • Invoicing, collections and payment handling on behalf of the client
  • Import, warehousing and physical distribution of products
  • Hiring local staff on behalf of the client
  • Legal, employment or tax advice

We represent you commercially. Signing agreements, committing funds and giving warranties stay with you, unless you decide to give us that authority in writing.

Common questions about commercial representation

How much does commercial representation cost?

A monthly retainer from US$1,500, with the option of agreeing variable fees tied to results defined in writing beforehand.

What is the minimum engagement period?

Three months. Below that there is not enough time for outreach to produce anything a decision can be based on: first activity results appear in the first month, and concrete commercial opportunities usually surface between the second and fourth month depending on the category.

How is this different from hiring a local sales agent?

An agent is usually paid on commission and works several principals at once, so their attention follows whichever line sells easiest. A retainer buys defined activity and written reporting whether or not a deal closes that month, which is what you need while a market is still unproven.

Do you represent competing companies in the same category?

We can represent more than one brand within a category, and we tell you before signing if that is the case. If you want exclusivity within a defined category and market, it is agreed in writing in the scope and priced separately.

What reporting do we receive?

A monthly commercial report covering outreach carried out, pipeline status, meetings held and what changed since the previous month. A sample is available on this site.

Do you need consistent commercial follow-up in the market?

Share the product, market, supplier, or commercial objective. We will help define a practical scope.
