Commercial contracts

Commercial contracts for Chile

A Chile sale with a contract both sides can sign.

A lawyer on the IndiAndes team drafts the commercial contract in English. A lawyer on the Chile team reviews the Spanish so both versions match. Chile law and India law. Available inside Chile Desk or as a one-off. Court work is contracted separately.

Who this service is for

For Indian companies selling into Chile that need a distribution, agency or supply contract drafted or reviewed before they commit.

The problem it solves

A handshake or an English template that nobody reviewed in Spanish leaves gaps on price, credit, quality, governing law and who can sign. Those gaps show up after goods move.

What we manage

  1. Commercial terms mapped for the Chile deal
  2. Drafting in English by an IndiAndes lawyer
  3. Spanish review by the Chile team so both versions match
  4. Clear split between commercial work and court work

What you receive

What you receive

  1. A draft or marked-up contract in English and Spanish
  2. A note of the commercial terms that still need a decision
  3. The governing-law and dispute clause as scoped

What we need from you

  • The commercial deal: product, price, volume, credit, delivery
  • Any existing draft, PO or term sheet
  • Who is signing on each side
  • Whether Chile law or India law should govern

Usual timelines

A first draft typically takes days once the commercial terms are settled, not weeks. Review of an existing draft is faster.

How this is charged

Quoted per case when bought alone. Inside Chile Desk, the contract work is scoped in the written plan. The fee, timeline and limits are set in writing before work begins.

What this does not include

  • Court appearances, filings or litigation
  • Notarial procedures, legalisations or apostilles unless scoped
  • Tax or customs advice
  • A promised outcome in a dispute

Signing on your behalf still requires a written power of attorney, named limits and lawyer review. That is not this one-off.

Common questions about contracts

Do I need the 90-day Chile Desk to buy this?

No. Contracts are included in a written Chile Desk plan when that is the mandate. They are also quoted per case as a one-off.

Who writes the contract?

A lawyer on the IndiAndes team drafts in English. A lawyer on the Chile team reviews the Spanish for parity between the two versions.

Which law can the contract use?

Chile law and India law. The governing law is chosen for the deal, not as a slogan.

Do you appear in court?

No. Court work is contracted separately. This service is drafting, review and commercial-term mapping.
